Ogan (Hammer) is an enemy in Chrono Trigger. First appearing in Denadoro Mountains in the Middle Ages, this enemy wields a giant wooden hammer and is a squat, rotund Fiend with grayish-green skin. Ogan also sport Mohawks of yellow fur.
Battle and Strategy
Often accompanied in battle by Freelancers, this enemy has a high Defense score while wielding its hammer. To destroy the hammer and thus make the enemy easier to defeat, use a Fire Tech such as Lucca's Fire Spell or Flamethrower. Several hammers can be destroyed at once by using Fire Whirl or by waiting until the enemies align themselves so that Lucca's Flamethrower Tech can hit them all in a row. In addition to lower its Defense, destroying the hammer renders its physical damage capabilities to a futile low, leaving them vulnerable to attacks and incapable of defending themselves.
