Platinum Helm (also known as Lode Helm in the SNES/PS version) is headgear in Chrono Trigger. Increasing defense by 29 points, this helmet can be worn by any character. Found within in a chest atop Mountain of Woe, it can also be purchased from the Nu merchant in Kajar, after using the Mammon Machine to power up Marle's Pendant. Crono must convince the Nu that the Pendant is not the one owned by Schala in order to view the Fiend's wares.
Since this helmet and other gear are made from Platinum/Lode, it can be inferred that the metal was abundantly excavated in the Kingdom of Zeal during the Antiquity Era.
