Tyranno Lair (ティラン城, Teiran Shiro "castle") is a location that appears in Chrono Trigger during Prehistory Era.
Because it is surrounded by lava, it is only accessible by air. It is home of the bosses Nizbel II, Black Tyranno, and Azala.
as Crono and Ayla fly thereby dactyls in order to rescue Kino and the villagers of Laruba from the Reptites. They would confront Azala and the Black Tyranno. after they are defeated, Azala told the party that the red star in the sky will soon fall to Earth, causing mass devastation and years of cold climates. while Azala would chooses to stay behind when they leave. while The red star falls to Earth and lands on the Tyranno Lair, turning it into a crater.
with the Tyranno Lair is also under the name as the Giant's Claw in the Middle Ages, and there are surviving Reptites along with the Rust Tyranno.
